Women’s Way: 123 South Broad Street #1399

A group of women-focused agencies that were struggling to keep their doors open, serving causes that were all controversial and hard to fund joined together to raise a collective voice and generate critical funding in the mid-1970s. Henry Ossawa Tanner: Modern Spirit: The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts

Joe Turner’s Come and Gone:
Plays & Players Theater

When an angry and lost man arrives looking for his wife, forcibly removed from him years ago when he was captured and put in a chain gang by a man named Joe Turner, these once strangers are forced to confront their own demons and to come together to help him find his way. This is the first of two plays at P&P that look back at life 100 years ago in celebration of our 100th Anniversary Season.
