US Lacrosse National Convention: 1101 Arch Street (The Convention Center)

The Pennsylvania Convention CenterThe US Lacrosse National Convention, presented by Champion®, is back in Philadelphia!
Billed as "the unofficial start to the lacrosse season," this event gathers the very best the sport has to offer, and provides the sport’s largest educational opportunity, with over 5,000 coaches, officials, program administrators and exhibitors in attendance each year.

Women’s Way: 123 South Broad Street #1399

A group of women-focused agencies that were struggling to keep their doors open, serving causes that were all controversial and hard to fund joined together to raise a collective voice and generate critical funding in the mid-1970s. Over the years Women’s Way has changed the philanthropic landscape of Philadelphia and given women opportunities to hone their leadership skills, make a difference in their communities and become effective philanthropists.

Bikram Yoga of Philadelphia: 1520 Sansom Street 3rd Floor

Bikram’s Yoga College of India is a well-established yoga community, implementing the Bikram method of hatha yoga to heal, educate, refine, and explore the mind and body. The Bikram method is designed to detoxify, de-stress, and stimulate the cells, muscles, and organs regardless of the bodies’ current physical state.

AIA Bookstore: 1218 Arch Street

The AIA Bookstore and Design Center is a recognized leader in architecture books, AIA Contract Documents, personal and executive gifts, and creative children’s toys. The bookstore is operated by the Philadelphia Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, one of the oldest Chapters of the AIA.

Philadelphia International Auto Show: 1101 Arch Street (The Convention Center)

The 2012 Philadelphia Auto Show is scheduled for January 28th – February 5th at the Pennsylvania Convention Center! The annual event will feature hundreds of vehicles from dozens of manufacturers, including a variety of classic, luxury, pre-production, tuner and exotic models.

Twice a year TD Bank presents the Center City District Restaurant Week. Participating restaurants offer three-course dinners for only $35 per person. In addition, many of the participating restaurants will also be offering a three-course lunch for $20.

The Inaugural Flyers Wives Fashion Show: 200 S. Broad Street (The Bellevue)

Guests can mingle with the wives during a cocktail reception and enjoy a high-energy fashion show starring hot-off-the-runway looks by internationally-recognized fashion designer Nicole Miller. This event is benefitting Comcast Spectacor Charities; tickets include special goodie bags, a silent auction, VIP cocktail reception and more.

Henry Ossawa Tanner: Modern Spirit: The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts

Henry O. Tanner was a student at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts from 1879 to 1885. PAFA is proud to organize this exhibition, and especially to elevate Tanner’s reputation through new scholarship and to bring his greatest works together for the first time in a generation.
University of the Arts : 320 South Broad Street

For more than 130 years, they have defined creativity. The University of the Arts in Philadelphia is one of the only universities in the United States solely dedicated to educating creative individuals in the visual and performing arts and design. Their more than 2,300 undergraduate and graduate students and 500 faculty members are passionate about what they do, and in the process, are redefining the way they think, teach and create.

Joe Turner’s Come and Gone:
Plays & Players Theater

When an angry and lost man arrives looking for his wife, forcibly removed from him years ago when he was captured and put in a chain gang by a man named Joe Turner, these once strangers are forced to confront their own demons and to come together to help him find his way. This is the first of two plays at P&P that look back at life 100 years ago in celebration of our 100th Anniversary Season.

The new Finn McCool’s is located on the corner of 12th and Sansom Street and along with their recent 8 month total renovation they have also added a full kitchen and hired a chef specializing in Irish cuisine. Along with 16 new draft beers of Irish, Belgium, German and Local Micro brews, 4 large flat screens and diverse glassware adorn the authentic, handmade bar shelves.


Philadelphia Museum of Art: 26th & Benjamin Franklin Parkway

The opening party for the exhibition Zoe Strauss: Ten Years will feature DJ David Dye of WXPN and a celebrity guest DJ. This late-night dance party will bring together art lovers, Zoe Strauss fans, and proud Philadelphians. Join the party in the Great Stair Hall at 8:00 p.m., and don’t forget your dancing shoes! Tickets include Philly-inspired snacks, complimentary soft drinks, cash bar, and free parking in the Museum’s Parking Garage or valet bike parking.
